You wanted photos...

so here is my new quilting area:

UGH...WHAT a MESS I still have to work on.
In the upper right you can see my fabric shelves.
Not what it used to be...sigh..so I am going through fabric and purging or storing elsewhere the ones that I can live without (for now).

In the far back my design wall has been re-hung with that lonely little star all un-finished on it and waiting.

I now have this shop light above my sewing area.

And this is no longer the only outlet in the basement.
2 more have been added.

Someday I'll be back. Seems like I have so much ahead of me that I'll never catch up.
But I will.

It's a wonderful space and in time it will be finished - although, do we ever get things into a 'finished' state? I know the feeling. And I am held up as my SIL wanted to come play in my fabrics.

Once you get yourself organized I'm sure you will be at home! Hang a few quilted items around, and you'll have all the inspiration you want! Enjoy! ♥♥♥

Looks like it will be a lot of space when you get it all situated. Hang in there! So glad that is not the only outlet anymore--that would be a challenge!

Looks like a great place to me, that is wonderful you have more outlets now, just take your time in setting it up, just the way you want it to be.

You'll get there, Tonya.
If you've set your heart on it, you will make it beautiful!

That's going to be a great area soon. I think you're at the worst stage now. The initial enthusiasm has worn off, but the final result still seems so far away. It'll all come right soon.

Look at all that space! That's great! I'm sure it will come together for you, very soon!

If we move to Utah later this year, the house will have a sewing studio in it otherwise we won't be buying it. Good things most of them have finished basements, that will work great. Take your time, it will all finally come together one box at a time. Everything just needs to find it's new home.

Of course you will! when you think of our Moms and Grandmoms sewing in the corner of the living room, on the kitchen table with a kerosene lamp for light, on an old treadle in the back bedroom, then you think how lucky to have a whole room to yourself. It's only when we look at all those fancy 'studios' that we get the woes... Or when the piles are so deep we can't find our scissors!-)

And just think of all the quilts you can hang from those beams!!!!

Well, first I have to say, look at all that room!! And second, I sure envy you your workspace. If you knew how small an area I have to use, you would just shake your head. ;)
Pretty soon, it will be as close to perfect as you can get it. Have patience dear heart.
