POM POM's With a Giveaway!

Winner chosen and giveaway is closed. Thank you!
(Rhonda G. I will be contacting you.)

Well, actually it's just a POM and not a POM POM but I couldn't resist saying POM POM. Anyway, what is a POM?

Yes it's a Pincushion of the Month Club.
Sounds fun, doesn't it?

There will be larger pincushions, itty bitty pincushions, some more difficult, some less.
You can find out all the details over at Pieces of Rana's Life.

January's cushion is the Heirloom Tomato.
Cute, and itty bitty. (2" wide).
The pattern is designed to be embellished by vintage buttons, hat pins, etc.

Aren't those CUTE???!!!

Now, let's talk about the pattern.
Available in e-format or a hard copy, the pattern is printed with easy, step by step instructions.
I actually was a little concerned as I've never sewn curved seams, but I was able to sew the Heirloom Tomato with no problems at all.
Rana also gives a great idea for pincushion filler. I love that it is weighted and not just filled with fiber fill.
And here is the best part of all...I started and finished all during one toddler nap time!
Can you imagine how I felt to be able to start and finish a project all at one time?
Wanna see?

And now a surprise for you!
Rana is giving away one Heirloom Tomato pattern to one of my readers.
All I need you to do is comment and leave your email if you are a no-reply blogger.
I will draw the winner on Sunday and announce Monday.
You will be able to choose whether you want the efile or a hard copy if you win.

Personally, I can't wait to make a few more of these itty bitty cuties.
I have a little boy that thinks he needs his own too.

I am linking this up with Marcia's Minutes for Me Party, because this was certainly some quick minutes for me and I love my itty bitty!

I wonder what February's Pincushion will be?

Lovely pincushion, I am tempted to join in now! Specially if doable during a toddler's nap, it might also be doable during a baby's nap! Thanks for sharing

Well done on a cute finish. When you have toddlers around, a small project like that is wonderful sometimes.

So cute! I'd imaginee the quick finishes do somehow balance all our long-term projects and (whispering) UFO's. Thanks for the chance at helping us keep balanced!
